At the age of five, Brian graduated from musical kindergarten at the Marge Hull School of Music. Formal training came in the early sixties when he started private drum study with Harry Ashmore at Peter F. D'Addario's Music Studio. Brian played his first professional gig at fourteen on New Years Eve and was thrilled to earn fifty dollars. The first professional exposure came while playing in his father's (trumpeter Bobby Butler's) quartet. Over the years he has played numerous society gigs, weddings, night clubs and jazz venues.

John has been playing guitar for almost 20 years.  A music major in college, he later studied with some of the finest musicians in the jazz community (musicians such as Sal Salvador, Mark Elf, Jack Wilkins, and Walt Weiskopf.)  In addition to playing with the Brian Butler Quartet, John also performs with his own trio, plays solo gigs, and teaches privately.  You may visit John at www.johnjuddjazz.com.

Jim Tutunjian

Jim's musical journey started on the professional level in the sixties in San Francisco where he began touring & recording for the Jazz Crusade label. There were many gigs and recording's at this time with many revivalists from the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Through-out the seventies Jim toured the United States with the Billy Fellows Band, Carol Fredette, and Tom Everet. In the eighties Jim found himself drawn to New Orleans Jazz where he played festivals in Europe and the United States. The majority of the nineties was spent in the New York area working with the Concrete Country Swing Band. Mostly self taught, Jim studied with a wonderful classical teacher Sal Maccia, and Jeff Fuller, a tremendously accomplished player and teacher. To these two gentlemen Jim is greatly indebted. Now back in Fairfield County, he works as a bassist on call for a number of groups.
